Do you have to be friends with your co workers?

At your job there will be many of other workers working with you and of course you are required to interact with them. It is your job to get to work, focus on your task, and get it done. Everyone at your job is required to be good at their job and work well with others. If you and your co workers get along and are able to work well together, thats great! If you decide to be friends with your co workers, you must be responsible enough to keep your relationship at work professional and not get side tracked in a conversation. Bottom line, stay focused, you go there to work not to mingle. Its also for the benefit of the company you are working for, for you to do the best you can do.

  1. That is true Jennifer, your job comes first than anything and its your duty to get everything done. Its good having a good relationship with your co-workers but you have to decide if you want to make money or make friends.

  2. I agree with Maria on that your job is more important than trying gets friends at work. Then its good to make friends at work it will show the other person that you interest being their friend then they will help you out at your work.

  3. True Jennifer, it all has to be with a limit, and if the job gives you some time to have a little talk with your co-workers then so be it. Lets have in mind that we are there to work not make friends

  4. I agree wit hJustin and Maria on that work is more importnat. Having good friendships with co-workers and having a limit with then and not getting to close. Co-workers are co-workers, not your best friends.

  8. Yeah it is important to talk to your workers to get things done. It could also affect you in other ways you could get distracted and not get work done.
